Background

☭Commie☭ is a quality sub group that began at the start of 2009, doing the episodes of Akikan! that had no subs from anyone other than Chihiro.

Our main focus is ripping Crunchyroll subs, shoving them through a fine mesh, and chucking editors around until the subs appear somewhat decent. Read: Yes we edit the damn script, there’s nothing to whine about because you won’t be able to tell a difference between us and a normal fansub. However if you do notice translation errors and they really irk you so, feel free to apply as a Translator/Translation Checker/Editor and fix it yourself. We encode from a TS (transport stream), which is encoder talk for HIGH DEFINITION VIDEO (aa not a CR stream). We zettai refuse to upscale the video and releasing at subpar resolutions is frankly quite stupid as well. You get what you see. Yes that means no Xvid, go get a real computer faggots. All those avi’s/mp4’s floating around with our name were not released by us. To all you re-encoders out there, we wwwwwww at your pathetic efforts.

Getting Our Shit Releases

Our releases can be found on TokyoToshokan and NyaaTorrents because everyone else in the group are just way too lazy to blog. If something you want is unobtainable and/or you’re an ircfag like the rest of us, you can join our Staff Channel( #commie@irc.rizon.net ) and use XDCC/yell at us to seed. If you’re new at this and have no idea what IRC and/or XDCC is, asking on a blog post asking for a reseed is okay too. DDL requests are also accepted. If you want something, we will get it to you by any means available.
